The ARM N63R Intake is designed to work flawlessly with the next version of the N63, the N63R/TU2. While the original N63 and N63TU share the same MAF sensors, the N63R/TU2 have updated MAF sensors that requires a redesigned MAF housing. The ARM N63R Intake is the perfect induction solution for the R/TU2 version of the N63. This has been confirmed on several N63R vehicles, including our M550, to function perfectly on both the stock tune and BM3 Stage 1, Stage 2, and E30 tunes.

The ARM N63R Intake is designed to keep the filters as far away from the heat of the turbos as possible. The filters are positioned at the front of the engine bay, where it can take advantage of the fresh air that is directed into the engine compartment from the OEM air ducts just below where they live. This position helps to keep the filters away from the heat generated by the turbos, which can cause the filters to become saturated and reduce its effectiveness. The ARM N63R Intake is available with an optional Front Facing Upgrade which relocates the filters from the engine bay, to behind the front grille. This option allows your N63R to draw in cooler air than the engine bay setup can offer. The optional Front Facing Upgrade is the ideal setup for your N63R if you're looking to maximize power. The Front Facing Upgrade involves removing the factory active grille system if your vehicle is equipped with it.

Other than not having exact instructions in some steps, pretty simple. One charge pipe I was unable to get on the turbo, and needed a hand. The sound is definitely a nice touch though with improved throttle response.
I received intakes for my Bmw M550i and they are awesome. Quality is great and I install was a breeze. Theres nothing like the sound of the woosh.
These intakes sound as cool as they look! You can also notice a slight increase in spool and response time!
This intake is absolutely amazing! Makes my car sound phenomenal and I’d 100% recommend it! Only thing is I had to get some washers to go in between the screws holding in the MAF sensors to make sure they are secure. One suggestion I would add since this is a prototype is to add another 45% elbow to the front mount option so the filter doesn’t connect directly to the 90! I was able to fit the filters in behind the strut bar behind the grills but it is very tight! If they were angled down instead of horizontally it would be 100% perfect fitment! Otherwise great intake for the money compared to other competitors!
Everything was perfect till i got to the MAF sensor the holes weren’t drilled properly so the screws weren’t tightly securing the sensor cause the screw dont screw down all the way.
