The ARM Motorsports N63 Intake for the F10 550i replaces the stock air boxes with a dual cone design improving airflow and increasing power on your N63 equipped BMW. The ARM Motorsports N63 Intake for the 550i is the perfect upgrade if you're looking for improved throttle response and turbo sound. Installation is easy and straightforward, with no cutting or drilling required. The ARM N63 Intake is engineered to fit perfectly onto your 550i, seamlessly integrating with the existing OEM turbo inlets.
The ARM N63 Intake is designed to keep the filters as far away from the heat of the turbos as possible. The filters are positioned at the front of the engine bay, where it can take advantage of the fresh air that is directed into the engine compartment from the OEM air ducts just below where they live. This position helps to keep the filters away from the heat generated by the turbos, which can cause the filters to become saturated and reduce its effectiveness. If you're looking to get your N63 the coolest possible air, consider the ARM Front Facing Upgrade.
The ARM N63 Intake is available with an optional Front Facing Upgrade which relocates the filters from the engine bay, to behind the front grille. This option allows your N63 to draw in cooler air than the engine bay setup can offer. The optional Front Facing Upgrade is the ideal setup for your N63 if you're looking to maximize power.
With either setup, the standard filter location or the Front Facing Upgrade, you will receive the ARM Dry Filters. The ARM Dry Air Filters included in the kit are made of high quality multimedia material designed to allow maximum airflow to your engine while providing effective filtration. These filters are engineered with multiple layers of filtration media, including a high-flowing synthetic fiber layer that captures even the smallest particles, while allowing for maximum airflow to the engine. United StatesWhere do I start, price to material ratio is 10/10. comparing these prices with other big brands is simply unfair. As college students, we aren't the most stable financially. That said, trying to build a fun car with good-quality parts is hard when you are struggling to find the right price to suit your budget. ARMS offers the best prices there are, I have used Arms for over 4 years now on both my N54 and N63, never had an issue, and whenever I even had any concerns their customer service is top-notch. It's safe to say as a DIY project these bolt-on parts are the best way to have some connection to your car building it-wise. Intakes were very straightforward to install, but tighter than I expected for how tight the engine bay is I'm quite impressed with the product. Had to bed the filter just a bit to fight on my right side as in the TU there is less room due to the cooling modules being in the way on the driver side but was definitely doable. Quick and easy DIY project for the first bolt-on for the N63 motor. Overall a great product and for the price which is a fraction of other companies that use the same material I highly recommend this product.
